The BBC Resourcing and Talent team is embedded in the length and breadth of the BBC, providing the best people for our world class trusted and creative output.  Based in Cardiff, this role is to provide the best and most diverse people to BBC Wales.

BBC Wales  operates from a total of 8 locations across Wales, from North to South with those working outside of Cardiff account for around 13% of our total staff base.  1,000 production and support staff are making the move to the new BBC Wales headquarters in Central Square, Cardiff City Centre, bringing an end to more than 50 years of broadcasting from Llandaff and opening an exciting new era of possibility for BBC Wales.

Central Square is a building designed to be the BBC's most open and accessible, to let the light in, and where the public will be invited into the centre for a range of tours, and community learning activities. As a Senior Resourcing Advisor you will take your place within this to ensure that the people we recruit reflect the diverse voices of Wales and make BBC Wales the beating heart of our creative nation.

Role Responsibility

As Senior Resourcing Advisor, you will be responsible for leading the recruitment for roles across BBC Wales in teams which could vary from business support roles, such as finance, projects and technology, through to broadcast specific professions, radio, journalism roles and orchestral positions amongst many others.  You will also build relationships with the departments you work with, and take the time to understand their needs, challenges and successes.

You will make an impact by bringing your senior recruitment experience to the teams you work with, and taking the knowledge you have gained on those teams to create positive, transparent recruitment campaigns, with a range of assessment methods, to ensure the best and most diverse voices join BBC Wales.

The Ideal Candidate

As the right candidate, you will have a track record of  in house recruitment at a senior advisor level, across a diverse range of disciplines. This will include experience of candidate search via networks and other tools such as LinkedIn.  You will have demonstrable experience of assessments for recruitment.  Specifically those which support diverse recruitment such as recruitment for potential, assessment centres and strengths based interviewing.

To support this, you will have working consultation and collaboration skills in recruitment to support and assure hiring managers that their needs have been understood and that these are translated into quality candidates.  Further to this, you will have experience of managing offers and pay negotiations with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
