Service Development and Delivery Manager
BBC Northern Ireland technology department are a key provider of technical services to all genres across BBC NI and network. They provide support for all of our in house broadcast and IT systems as well as providing support for proof of concept projects around the future of broadcast. They are also providing remote support for platform systems deployed across the whole BBC.
You will line manage and provide support for the Project team. You will determine operational requirements to meet business area priorities and build relationships with key stakeholders to facilitate achievement of objectives.
Are you the right candidate?
This is a critical role for us. You will have a track record of success gained in a similar Service Delivery Function, with up-to-date knowledge and understanding of the technologies, workflows and interfaces supporting broadcast systems; In particular multi-platform digital technologies to drive a more digitally converged BBC production future. Furthermore, you will be able to demonstrate your ability to motivate and inspire teams, with a leadership style which encourages participation in decision making but takes responsibility for decisions made. Experience of implementing new initiatives and leading process and people change, balancing longer term aspirations with tactical and pragmatic approaches will be key. You will have the ability to display excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly the ability to present technical, complex initiatives, strategies and systems in a manner that can be simply and clearly understood by non-technical colleagues.
