Social Media Executive - 14 month FTC/attachment

Due to exciting business growth, we are seeking a Social Media Executive to join the Brands team on a 12 month contract. The role will assist with the planning and publishing of digital content across web, CRM, video and social channels for a new BBC Studios digital service. You’ll support the maintenance of the editorial calendar, deliver a strong publishing pipeline of content and actively build and engage audiences online. The role has responsibility for ensuring all content is of a first-class standard, thoroughly researched and accurate, in-keeping with audience needs and expectations.
This role will report into the Head of Digital Publishing but will also have daily contact with the Digital Publishing Lead, Digital Marketing Manager, Content Producers, Digital Planners and Brand Marketing as well as external parties.
Curate and create content across a portfolio of digital accounts and channels.
Source, clip and edit video assets using programs such as Premiere Pro and produce and edit digital assets (images, gifs).
Channel management of video assets along with input of metadata, content descriptions, annotations and usage policies.
Manage the traffic of video files from the archive and external suppliers.
Manage communities and conversations on social channels in-line with the agreed strategy and in the brand’s tone of voice.
Actively monitor platform messaging and inboxes, escalating issues where appropriate.
Monitor performance of content assets, deriving insights from the data available to optimise and improve future asset creation and articulate this to relevant stakeholders.
Ensure all material and activity is of appropriate quality and complies with all relevant BBC & BBC Studios guidelines and procedures. Ensure the correct functioning of escalation and issue management procedures.
Work closely with brand and production teams on the execution of campaigns.
Interpret and implement creative briefs from key stakeholders to work within the resources allocated.

You will have strong copywriting and editing skills, and a proven ability to work with software such as Photoshop, Premiere Pro and Content Management Systems. You’ll have a strong editorial sense and ability to develop content ideas, demonstrating your knowledge in content creation in the digital space. You’ll be accomplished utilising social media scheduling platforms and analytics tools to demonstrate success.
You’ll have experience writing, scheduling and publishing on social channels, building and engaging online audiences. With an excellent attention to detail and collaborative style, you’ll work in partnership across multiple business teams to deliver a global objective, forging effective stakeholder relationships. With the willingness to adapt to a rapidly changing environment and to develop skills according to the changing needs of the business, you’ll thrive in an environment working at pace.
