The BBC is currently recruiting for a Strategy Manager to join the Strategy team based in London. This is a permanent role.
The BBC is the largest broadcasting corporation in the world. Its mission is to enrich people's lives with programmes that inform, educate and entertain. It is a public service broadcaster, established by a Royal Charter and funded by the licence fee that is paid by UK households. The BBC uses the income from the licence fee to provide services including 8 national TV channels plus regional programming, 10 national radio stations, 40 local radio stations and an extensive website, www.bbc.co.uk.
The Strategy team is the guardian of the BBC’s understanding of its external environment, particularly competitor activity and industry developments. It is a key source of blue sky ideas for improving the BBC’s ability to succeed, working as a broker of cross-BBC solutions and co-ordinator of the BBC’s partnership activities.

As Strategy Manager, you’ll be leading projects, analysing key markets, competitor developments, technological change and audience trends, you will play a crucial part in developing the BBCs long-term strategy. You will influence strategic and policy decision-making at a senior level, contributing to business planning and translating plans into detailed initiatives. Using appropriate business and modelling tools, you will provide high-quality research and present well thought-out recommendations to teams at all levels.
The Ideal Candidate
With substantial proven experience in business strategy, you'll be comfortable with qualitative and quantitative data analysis. You'll also be confident advising senior teams and will be able to present complex data and arguments in ways that are accessible to everyone. A good understanding of the broadcasting sector and media developments would be advantageous and a strong academic record is desirable.
