Job Introduction

The Studio Resource Manager is responsible for overseeing the technical and logistic elements of operating a television studio and accountable for the efficient and effective management and financial control of all operational resources.

The role involves working unsociable hours both day and night including weekends and public bank holidays.

We are currently looking for 2 x Studio Resource Managers to join our team.

Role Responsibility

You will be commercially aware and work with the Commercial Manager to achieve revenue targets ensuring the customer experience is first class both in terms of operational and supporting requirements, engendering a robust degree of loyalty. You will prepare and update estimates, have responsibility for technical planning and action customer driven allocation requests for staff. In addition you will ensure appropriate allocation of kit to designated productions, including requests for hired kit / freelance resource and drive cost control, ensuring projects are managed and delivered within the agreed production budget.

You will be the focal point for customer liaison, monitor and seek feedback on staff performance and be responsible for safety in the Studio and/or on Location, including risk assessment and accident investigation. You will be responsible for collection of costs, invoice preparation and project reconciliation and oversee the successful turnround of studios ensuring deadlines are met in a safe and cost effective way.

The Ideal Candidate

You will have a thorough understanding and extensive knowledge of the production process and technical requirements needed to deliver the end product gained from several years’ experience in this field.

You should have proven experience of operating within a complex and commercial environment, and able to manage conflicting commercial pressures within this together with experience in a management and financial control role. You'll have a customer focused approach with excellent communication skills and proven leadership experience with the ability to be assertive, handle conflict effectively and create an open and collaborative team climate leading by example.
