Video Journalist, BBC Russian Service (Washington based)

Job Introduction

BBC World Service Group is an international multimedia broadcaster, delivering a wide range of language and regional services on radio, TV, online with a big focus on mobile.

The BBC Russian Service is looking for a Video Journalist to join the team in Washington Bureau on a continuing contract.

Role Responsibility

The Video Journalist (Washington DC) is expected to organise, gather, process and deliver multimedia output, primarily digital and video-driven in nature.

You will be generating and developing story ideas, finding characters and researching various topics for programmes.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for an experienced journalist, who really knows the region and understands how TV and digital video work. You will have experience of video and news production.

You need to be able to work effectively both as part of the crew and individually.

The candidates should be fluent in spoken and written Russian, with an excellent command of English.
