Welcome to Work Experience opportunities in London within Business & Support. If you’re interested in business, finance, research, broadcast technology and getting some great practical experience on your CV, you’ve come to the right place.
Every placement is different, but your Work Experience will give you a good all round overview of Business & Support across researching, publishing and using technology.

What we’re looking for
We want people who are creative, keen to learn and are up for a challenge. In Business & Support we work in teams where everyone has a role to play. We’re looking for people who are friendly and good communicators.
We work at a fast pace. So you’ll need to be enthusiastic and motivated to keep up.
We take our jobs seriously and really enjoy what we do. If you’re passionate about Business & Support areas of the BBC and are prepared to work hard, ask lots of questions and contribute ideas, you’ll fit right in.
You don’t need a media qualification to apply. You just need to be able to show us that you’re passionate about Business & Support areas of the BBC and have a genuine desire to find out what the industry has to offer.

We have placements available in the following areas:
BBC Blue Room (over 18)
BBC Blue Room are a media technology demonstration team. Join the team to experience the latest technology shaping the future of digital media. Get involved in our sessions where you will gain considerable hands-on experience and have the opportunity to do some demonstrating.
BBC News Products and Systems (over 18)
Based in New Broadcasting House, the News Products and Systems team design, build and support the digital products and production systems for BBC News globally. We offer work experience to give an overview of how we build our websites, apps, and services on social media. Candidates should have an interest in coding, product design or project management.
Media Action: Digital (2 week placement - over 18)
We are offering the opportunity for someone to gain experience supporting the team in picture research and archiving images and video in preparation for storage in a new database. It’s a great opportunity for someone studying visual communications or international studies, or someone who loves photography and wants to work in an international environment.

We’ll review your application and if we think you might be right for one of our placements, we’ll give you a call.
Please remember that we receive a lot of applications and we can’t offer a placement to everyone.
